Royal Enfield Tour of Tibet 2014 will see participation from 30 riders who will travel over 2,380 kms of the most challenging of terrains at an average altitude of 4,500 meters. Setting out from Kathmandu, the riders will traverse across the Himalayan range and over the Everest Base Camp. They will tackle hairpin bends and will have to contend with the extremist of off roading experiences across certain stretches.
The journey, which is a challenge for both man and machine, is designed for bikers with a passion for riding and the power to take on the mighty Himalayan range. The bikers will negotiate four mountain passes along the journey while taking in the most beautiful of scenery for which the region is well known.
Participants of Royal Enfield Tour of Tibet 2014 will be briefed on tour details on Sunday 7th September and will complete all formalities with regard to visa and paper work on 8th after which they will tackle Kathmandu to Kodari on the 9th and then go on to Zhamgmo on the 10th followed by Tingri and Xigatse on the subsequent two days. 13th September is a rest day at Xigatse while on the 13th the participants will go on to Lhasa. Another rest day follows on the 15th while the next three days will see participants travel to Gyantse, Shegar and EBC followed by Nyalam and back to Kathmandu on the 20th September.
