Royal Enfield website updated – More accessories, more customization

Earlier this year, during the online sale of Pegasus, Royal Enfield website crashed. And it did not come online for a couple of hours. So much so that, Royal Enfield had to change the online sale date of Pegasus and cancel all the bookings that were made on that day. To make sure something like that does not happen again, Royal Enfield seems to have taken inputs from their customers, and given a thorough update to their website.

Apart from motorcycles, you can shop a lot of other stuff on the new Royal Enfield website. To enlist all the stuff that is available, there are helmets, gloves, boots, bags, riding jackets, bottom wear, motorcycle covers, multifunction headgear, blood group bracelet, multi tools, add-on layers, boot covers, eye wear, t-shirts, sweat shirts, shirts, textile jackets, leather jackets, keychains, scale models, wallets, belts, bracelets, pins and badges, coffee mugs, coasters, multi tools, long boots, sneakers, and much more.

More or less, the new Royal Enfield shopping section on their website looks no less than a a Flipkart or Amazon. In addition to selling branded items, Royal Enfield has also launched customization. To begin with, Royal Enfield is offering users the facility to design open face helmets, as per their specific tastes and preferences.

To personalize your open face helmet, you have to select ‘Make Your Own’ option in the Helmet section on Royal Enfield Store. Once there, you can choose from various personalization options such as decal, shell base colour, matt or gloss finish, chopper visor or peak, peak colour, internal fabric colour and size of the helmet. You can also get your personalized text printed on the side of the helmet.

Most of the accessories are also on sale at dealership.

For example, you can get your name printed on the helmet or any of your favourite slogan or catchphrase. You can choose special characters such as + (Plus), – (Minus), # (Hashtag), @ (At The Rate), ! (Exclamation Mark), _ (Underscore), $ (Dollar Sign), . (Full Stop). The text has a limit of 14 characters, so you will have to choose your words carefully.

Your personalized helmet will be delivered to you within 30 days. Once you have placed the order, you will not be able to make changes to the personalization options you have chosen. Also, you will not be allowed to cancel the order. Returns will be accepted only if there are manufacturing defects. Royal Enfield says that there may be some slight variations in what you see on the screen and the final product.

The personalization option is currently being offered as a free service. The standard open face helmet costs Rs 3,200, which is the same as that of personalized open face helmet. The helmets are of good quality, as they are ISI (IS: 4151) and DOT (FMVSS No. 218) certified.

Personalization option for other riding gear is expected to be offered at a later date. It will include everything from gloves to jackets, boots, bags, bracelets and eyewear. Personalized riding gear will provide enthusiasts a new way to showcase their passion for biking and express their individuality. Check out the site at https://store.royalenfield.com/
