Sachin Tendulkar sold his luck with his Ferrari?

Sachin Tendulkar, popularly regarded as the God of Cricket for those who believe the sport itself is their religion, has failed to make an impact in the ongoing England-India Test series. India, the No 1 ranked Test team in the World today, has lost the first two tests of the 5 test series against hosts, England. All eyes were on Sachin Tendulkar as always. But Sachin failed to keep his brilliant form going.

Sachin Tendulkar was in a brilliant form earlier this year. Remember the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup? Sachin played so brilliantly that following India’s win, a huge debate was started whether or not to award him Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civil award. Later in the IPL edition too he was outstanding.

But all that seems like things of the past as Sachin Tendulkar is still looking to score his much awaited 100th 100! He was expected to score a 100 at Lord’s, the Temple of Cricket. But that was not what fate had in mind as Sachin managed to score 34 and 12 runs respectively in the two innings at Lord’s. Sachin is yet to score a 50 in a test at Lord’s, which makes us very sad. Even in the second test at Trent Bridge, Sachin scored 16 and 56, the latter being the highest runs scored by Indian batsmen in the inning.

Just before returning back to professional cricket, in June this year, Sachin Tendulkar sold his Ferrari which was gifted to him by Fiat Auto India on achieving a rare feat of equaling Don Bradman’s 29 test centuries. The Ferrari gift was handed over to the Little Master by none other than the fastest man on Earth, Michael Schumacher.

Now what we are contemplating here is that did Mr Tendulkar sell his luck as well along with the Ferrari 360 Modena, which he sold in late June this year? If we look at the statistics, then it will not be wrong to say that, yes, Sachin did sell his luck along with his Ferrari!

Just to brush you up, Sachin scored his maiden test century against England in 1990 at the age of just 17 years! India plays England at the same venue in the 5th test of the ongoing series. But India and Sachin Tendulkar needs to bounce back before that or the No 1 Test Team status will be taken over by England. Let us know what you think by leaving your interesting comments below. We hope Sachin all the best in the remaining matches in the series and in the future too.
