Sahara Force India finishes 4th and 14th at 2012 Singapore Grand Prix

Sahara Force India with Paul di Resta and team mate Nico Hulkenberg put up a spectacular performance at the Singapore GP held on September 23, 2012. 26 year old Paul finished to a fourth place victory while Nico finished 14th. Resta started sixth on the grid and chased F1 leader Fernando Alonso of Ferrari across the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday.

His finish was a good result for Sahara Force India while Nico Hulkenberg had earlier secured a fourth place finish at the Belgian GP held in August. These results could prove to be beneficial for Sahara Force India where their positions on constructor’s standings in later stages of the season are concerned while it has also helped Resta to overtake Michael Schumacher and finish at 11th spot on driver charts with 44 points.

Resta was elated at his performance and stated that this was his best day in Formula One till date. For Nico on the other hand, it was a tough race as he had to tackle soft tyres which helped him in the end but he was stuck behind Kimi and Michael and hence did not get a chance to test the pace of his car. Vijay Mallya, Managing Director and Team Principal congratulated both his team mates for their spectacular performance.
