SemaConnect Google Glass App to find EV charging stations

SemaConnect has now launched its Google Glass app SemaConnect for Glass. The intent is to make getting to EV charging stations faster and easier. EV drivers can now locate the closest charging stations in a 20-mile radius. SemaConnect for Glass app was submitted for review in May and will be made available for download through MyGlass app in Android and Apple stores.

Since 2008, SemaConnect has progressed to being one of the largest smart networked Electric Vehicle Charging Station providers in North America. Stations are networked Level II (240Volts, 30Amps) commercial grade and backed by web-based management software.

SemaConnect, has also announced their association with Bacara Resort & Spa to install 6 electric vehicle charging stations at their location at 8301 Hollister Ave. in Goleta, CA. Charging stations are complimentary for overnight guests. “We are excited to offer visitors to the Santa Barbara area another convenient place to charge their vehicle,” said Mark Pastrone, VP of Business Development at SemaConnect. “There has been a dramatic increase in electric vehicle use in this area and we have made it our mission to innovatively keep up with this growing demand.”

SemaConnect has also partnered with Recargo on their PlugShare app to start a charging session from the PlugShare app for more convenience. SemaConnect has also been asked by Comfort Inn to install an electric vehicle charging station at their Comfort Inn Shady Grove location in Gaithersburg, MD. “With the Comfort Inn Shady Grove’s close proximity to landmarks that are important to tourists, we are excited to offer visitors to DC another place to charge their vehicle,” said Mark Pastrone, VP of Business Development at SemaConnect. “We are pleased to be part of the impressive growth of electric vehicles in the Washington DC area.”

In fact the company has been getting to places quickly. At the start of this month, SemaConnect said they were chosen by the Town of Bethel, Connecticut to install electric vehicle charging stations. “Connecticut really is a trailblazer when it come to the encouragement of electric vehicle adoption,” said Mark Pastrone, VP of Business Development at SemaConnect. “With 50 of Connecticut’s 169 communities already offering electric vehicle charging stations, we are pleased to be working with the Town of Bethel on offering additional charging stations and helping with the effort to encourage the use of electric vehicles.”

SemaConnect were also chosen by Jones Lang LaSalleto install EV charging stations at the 18-story tower to offer tenants a charging option. “We are pleased to be working with Jones Lang LaSalle to offer electric vehicle charging stations at CityPlace Tower,” said Mark Pastrone, VP of Business Development at SemaConnect. “There is a great deal of excitement around this building as it is the first Class-A office building to be built in West Palm Beach in nearly 20 years and we are glad to be part of offering environmentally friendly options for tenants there.”
