Sherco TVS Rally Factory team sends riders Alain Dulcos and Fabien Planet to Dakar 2015

Till date TVS Racing maintainsan average record of 90% wins in events the team participates in. In 2014, TVS Racing participated in 30 racing championships and events. Major wins include the Group C up to 165cc modified four stroke category in the National Road Racing Championship and Group D up to 130cc four stroke category. TVS Racing has won at Dakshin Dare, Raid De Himalaya, Monsoon Rally and Indian National Rally 2014. 3 major scooter rally events were won on a modified Wego. Wins were secured at Sigiriya, Fox Hill and Gunners Supercross racing event in Sri Lanka.

Under the association, French riders Alain Dulcos and Fabien Planet will compete in 2015 Dakar rally. Alain Dulcos was the winner of stage 6 at 2014 Dakar. Fabien Planet finished 12th at 2007 Dakar and is a Sherco iconic enduro rider and ISDE winner with podium finishes at WEC – Enduro French Champion. Arvind Pangaonkar, Head of TVS Racing talks about building further on the success of TVS Racing. Racing motorcycles, christened RTR 450 will be more competitive, lightweight and equipped with highly reliable 450cc engines developed and manufactured at Sherco Motorcycles along with TVS Racing.

The new 450cc engine went into production for the series in November of 2014. Bikes are equipped with a new fairing revised for improved handling, and additional upgrades improve general bike design of the bike. Engineers from TVS Racing will work with the team from Sherco and its racing affiliates (Mac Racing, Michelin, Selle Dalla Valle, Moto Master, Exact and F2r) for 2015 Dakar.

2015 Dakar is scheduled between 3-17 January and the route traverses Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. Through the arrangement, TVS engineers will get hands-on experience and deeper understanding of international racing programs to improve competitiveness of TVS Racing.
