The new ŠKODA Fabia and ŠKODA Roomster now offer more safety and standard in EU countries is electronic stability control (ESC). Child rear-view mirror is an additional safety feature for the driver see what children are upto in the back seat without the need to look back. New colours, equipment options and wheels are available. From 1st June, Sky blue and Metal grey colour options have been added. GreenLine Fabia and Roomster variants stand on 15-inch Rotare alloy wheels.
The model lineup will be not only safer and more intelligent but will also include a number of versatile options as has been already proved with the new Skoda Octavia which has been in markets for some time. Skoda Octavia Combi and 4×4 have also been launched in May while the Skoda Superb Saloon and Combi are scheduled to make their presence felt in markets by end of June.
Skoda Citigo is being offered in both three door and five door variants but has been upgraded with more functional and comfort fittings. The model proved to be a major seller in 2012 when a total of 30,000 units were sold across the globe. In June 2013, Citigo three door variant will for the first time be offered with Easy Entry memory function. This contributes to easier entry and exit from its rear seats while the five door Citigo will come in with foldable front passenger seatback.
This results in more internal space allowing transportation of items upto 1.75 meters in length. While the Fabia goes places globally, in India the hatchback having enjoyed great reception since it’s launch in 2008 has hit a roadblock with sales volumes being rather low now. As such, Skoda India is phasing the hatchback out and will concentrate on sedans here.
