The model proved to be a major seller in 2012 when a total of 30,000 units were sold across the globe. In June 2013, Citigo three door variant will for the first time be offered with Easy Entry memory function. This contributes to easier entry and exit from its rear seats while the five door Citigo will come in with foldable front passenger seatback.
This results in more internal space allowing transportation of items upto 1.75 meters in length. While the Fabia goes places globally, in India the hatchback having enjoyed great reception since it’s launch in 2008 has hit a roadblock with sales volumes being rather low now. As such, Skoda India is phasing the hatchback out and will concentrate on sedans here.
