Czech car manufacturer, Skoda, opens the financial year with extended discount schemes, extended warranty and loyalty benefits on all models in its line-up. These discounts are offered on the Rapid, Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq for both 2018 and 2019 model year.
Skoda Rapid 2018 MY petrol variant discounts include Skoda Shield package. This comprises of complimentary roadside assistance, extended warranty and insurance of Rs.83,365, which may vary from dealer to dealer.
Discounts on the Rapid Diesel is the same as that offered on its petrol variant but Skoda is offering only a 50 percent off on Skoda Shield which will mean that buyers will be liable to pay Rs.36,996 which is for half the package.
The company is also offering discounts on the current generation model of Skoda Rapid. This entails a loyalty bonus of Rs.25,000 on the 2019 Rapid. Only buyers who already own another Skoda car will be entitled to this discount. Apart from this, the automaker is also offering finance schemes at 7.99 percent interest rate which is 2-3 percent lower than that offered by private banks.
Buyers, who already possess a Skoda car will be entitled to Rs.25,000 loyalty bonus on the 2018 MY Skoda Octavia while buyers of Skoda Superb can get a complimentary Skoda Shield on the Style variant worth Rs.1.80 lakhs. This is exclusively on the 2018MY Octavia. The company is offering a flat discount of Rs.50,000 as loyalty bonus on the 2019MY Superb. Skoda Kodiaq is also being offered at a reduced rate of Rs.50,000 for existing Skoda owners.
In the meantime, Skoda is gearing up for the launch of the Kodiaq Scout in India in Q4 2019. This is the third variant of the Kodiaq SUV in India. It will command higher ground clearance as compared to the Kodiaq Style and L&K. It will share its powertrain with these two variants but will receive better capacity to take on rough road conditions. It will also get some cosmetic updates in the form of new 19” alloy wheels, silver accents on its front grille, roof rails and front and rear underbody protection. Pricing of the Kodiaq Scout is expected in the same range as the Kodiaq Style, which is priced at Rs.35.37 lakhs and the L&K priced at Rs.36.79 lakhs (ex-sh prices).
