Showcased as the VisionS concept earlier this year at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Skoda is all set to unveil their flagship SUV in its production-ready guise. Called Kodiaq, first images of Skoda’s new premium SUV have been leaked online, ahead of its scheduled global debut in Berlin in a few hours.
Skoda Kodiaq will be unveiled today at an invite-only event in Berlin at 10:45 PM India Time (7 PM CEST or 1 PM UTC). Based on VW’s MQB platform, Skoda Kodiaq sit above the Yeti in company line-up. To go on sale in Europe later this year, Skoda Kodiaq will be offered in a range of petrol and diesel engine options. These include 3 petrol and 2 diesel engines, mated to both manual as well as DSG gearbox. It will be offered with FWD as well as 4×4 option.
In India, Kodiaq will be launched next year, where it will compete with the likes of Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, and the likes.
