As a special festive offer, which will end on November 30, 2018, the Skoda Kodiaq Style variant is being offered at a discount of Rs 1 lakh. This makes the entry level trim of the Skoda flagship model cost INR 33,83,995. This price cut should allow the company to garner more sales especially during the festive season while Skoda Kodiaq will continue to take on Toyota Fortuner in terms of competition.
Skoda Kodiaq, launched in India in October 2017 is presented in trims of Style and Laurin & Klement. This top of the line Laurin & Klement variant of Skoda Kodiaq is priced at Rs 35.99 lakhs. It was launched a few days ago. The company sees sales on an average of 160-200 units per month.
Kodiaq Style trim, despite being an entry level model gets a significant amount of features that one would normally see on a flagship SUV. These include full LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and LED tail lamps. It also gets headlamp washers, 18” Trinity alloy wheels, gesture tailgate and electrically adjustable panoramic sunroof. The 7 seater, three row, Skoda Kodiaq measures 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm in width and 1,665 mm in height. It gets 188 mm ground clearance and offered in four color options of Quartz Grey, Magic Black, Moonbeam White, Lava Blue and Magnetic Brown.
Interiors receive LED ambient lighting, climatronic 3 zone control system and 8 speaker Amundsen touchscreen infotainment system with navigation along with a 575 watt Canton sound system with 10 speakers.
Driver aids and safety features on offer on the Skoda Kodiaq also include 9 airbags, Parktronic sensors and speaker in the front and rear, rear view camera along with hands free parking, iBUZZ fatique feature and EDS (Electronic Differential Lock), TCS (Traction Control System) and ESC (Electronic Stability Control).
Skoda Kodiaq Style gets its power via a 2.0 liter turbocharged, diesel engine offering 150 PS power and 340 Nm torque mated to a 7 speed DSG automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. This engine as per ARAI certifications is capable of fuel efficiency to the extent of 16.25 kmpl. Skoda Kodiaq faces competition from the likes Toyota Fortuner.
