Skoda Auto India conducted a national media drive in Chandigarh to showcase the upcoming Octavia facelift. Just like the current Octavia on sale in India, the facelift too will be offered in three variants – Ambition, Style and Style Plus.
The base Ambition variant will receive 16” Velorum alloy wheels, halogen headlamps and LED daytime running lights and tail lamps. It will also get fog lamps at the front and rear along with electrically adjustable ORVMs. Interiors will be seen with a new touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink. Safety features will include front and side airbags, ABS, EBD, ECS and multi collision braking with rear parking sensors.

New Octavia Style variant will get adaptive LED headlamps and cornering fog lamps, auto dimming function for mirrors and rain sensing wipers with electrically foldable ORVMs. It will also receive a large 8” touchscreen while seating will be done up in quality leather. Front and rear airbags, cruise control and paddle shifters will also be on offer.
Skoda Octavia Style Plus variant sits on 16” Alcantara alloy wheels. It gets a panoramic sunroof with remote control, 8 airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system besides 12 way power adjustable driver seat with memory function and LED lighting in 10 programmable colors in addition to all features seen on the other two variants. It also gets the much talked about auto park and auto un-park feature, which can be seen in action in the videos below.
Engine specifications on the 2017 Skoda Octavia see no change and it continues to be powered by 3 options. These include a 1.4 litre TSI 4 cylinder petrol engine offering 150 PS, 1.8 litre TSI petrol offering 143 PS power and 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine. Each of these engines are mated to 6 speed manual, 7 speed DSG automatic or 6 speed DSG automatic transmission.
