Skoda launches Online Car Demo for Rapid, Superb, Karoq customers

Skoda India has launched first of its kind online car demo solution for their customers

Skoda Auto India has introduced the second wave of its contactless program. The first wave was launched back in June, when Unlock 1.0 was announced. This new contactless program follow a similar initiative launched earlier this year which included a centralized booking platform. This program was created so as to enable customers to buy cars online. More customers are preferring to buy cars online due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country.

This time round, Skoda’s Contactless Program offers a virtual product demonstration option along with LIVE consultation integrated across it 80+ dealerships. This is a part of the company’s endeavour to protect the health and safety both of its employees and customers from the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Designed and developed by Skoda Auto India, the program to offer transparent and contactless services, buyers can view a virtual product scenario and take part in live consultation with a team of experts who would guide them through the buying experience. This service is accessible via video conferencing on smartphones, tablets and personal computers and it not only offers choices to the customer but also presents contactless test drives wherein the customer can avail of this facility at his doorstep. This App offers a single window interface linking the customer with the brand. Customers can select their most preferred and nearest dealership, book a service appointment and select a convenient timeframe. The app also offers details of service history, cost calculator and itemized billing information while it also includes an accessory shop.

The MY SKODA App is available for download on iTunes App Store for iPhone and Google Play store for Android devices. Special customer care benefits via the ŠKODA AUTO ‘Simply Clever’ philosophy also offers customers with AI enabled Chat Bot, 24×7 service facilities with reduced turnaround time.

Upcoming Skoda Cars

Skoda Auto is actively testing new cars, which will be launched in India in the coming months. One of them is the new gen Octavia sedan, which was spied recently on test in Pune. Launch date was scheduled for September 2020 but the coronavirus pandemic has pushed ahead launch plans to early 2021.

This is the 4th gen Skoda Octavia which will see increased dimensions as compared to its predecessor with more sporty design and better appointed interiors. It will receive a new dashboard layout, larger touchscreen and internet-enabled feature upgrades. The new Skoda Octavia will only be offered with a petrol engine option in India. Once launched, the new Skoda Octavia will take on the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra.
