2019 Skoda Superb Corporate Edition is available at an attractive introductory launch price of Rs 23.99 lakhs (ex sh). It undercuts the existing base variant (Style TSI MT) by more than Rs 2 lakhs
But, there is a catch. You can only buy the Corporate Edition, if you already are a Skoda customer. Available in two colour options – Candy White, and new Magnetic Brown, Skoda Superb Corporate Edition is powered by the 1.8 TSI (MT) petrol engine seen in Superb. The engine returns 180 PS (132 kW) of power and torque output of 320 Nm. Skoda India is contemplating introducing a AT variant later in 2019. In its current form, fuel efficiency is listed at 14.64 kmpl.
Standard safety equipment includes eight air bags – dual front air bags, side airbags at front and rear, curtain airbags at front and rear, and five three-point seatbelts. Headlamps equipped with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) function optimise illumination of roads and surroundings. Headlamps respond to speed changes, and varying road and light conditions. AFS enables swivel, and cornering functions, and dynamic headlamp inclination control.
Multi-Collision Brake system with ESC (Electronic Stability Control) prevents uncontrolled vehicle movement if driver or front passenger airbag is activated, and reduces likelihood of further collisions. Located on the boot door handle, rear view camera with an integrated washer watches space behind the car to indicate driving lanes.
Bootspace at 625 litres can be expanded to 1,760 litres with rear seat backrests folded down. Three Zone Climatronic air conditioning with clean air function enable diff temps to be set for driver, front and rear passengers. Humidity sensor reduces windscreen misting.
2019 Skoda Superb Corporate Edition features a 20.32 cm floating touchscreen display with proximity sensor as part of the new gen Amundsen infotainment system. SmartLink tech, compatibility to MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, BossConnect, and Skoda Media Command App are pressed into service.
