Skoda Superb facelift revealed prior to 2013 Shanghai Motor Show


Skoda Auto has revealed the first official photos of their all new Superb facelift, which is scheduled to be shown publicly at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.

Speaking about their new car, Skoda CEO, Winfried Vahland, said, “The Skoda Superb is the pinnacle of our model line-up and proves SKODA’s capability as a manufacturer. This comprehensive facelift has made our top model even more attractive.” After it is revealed at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, Superbe facelift will be launched in Europe first, by June 2013.

Changes that are made to Superb facelift sedan include completely new design for the front and rear. In the images here, you can clearly see the new bonnet, front wings, bumpers, fog lights, head lights, wider grille, and bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, which is a first time in Superb line-up. Color options will now see two new metallic finishes, Meteor Grey and Moon White. You will also see new 16-18″ alloys.

Interiors of the new Superb facelift are also redesigned. Skoda Superb facelift will offer best in class interior and boot space. As far as engine options are concerned, the new Superb will feature a range of petrol and diesel powered engines with capacities ranging from 1.4L to 2.0L.

Yes, the sedan will be launched in India too. Skoda India has not said anything yet, but expect the car to be launched in India later this year with 2013 Skoda Octavia or by early 2014.
