Skoda Superb facelift launch price Rs 18.87 lakh for India

Engine options are in the form of 1.8l petrol TSI generating 158 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. This will be offered in a choice of two transmission options : 6 speed manual and 7 speed DSG. The diesel engine the 2.0l TDI generating 140 bhp and 320 Nm torque. This one is offered only with 6 speed DSG auto gearbox. Fuel efficiency for TSI is at 13.1 kmpl (Manual) and 13.7 kmpl (Auto) whereas the same for TDI is at 17 kmpl.

Speaking about the history of Skoda Superb in India, it was first launched back in 2004. Today, it is one of the best selling cars in the segment. Skoda says that their Superb counts for more sales as compared to 5-6 cars from competitors in the segment.

Features/changes seen in the new Superb are new language design, new chrome grille, new LEDs, new alloys, the boot door is redesigned, rear taillights are new with 3 C shaped lines, biggest trunk of 565 liters in its class, 3 new colours – (Brilliant Silver, Magnetic Brown and Metal Grey), bi-xenon headlights, DRLs, keyless entry, umbrella, 8 airbags, 12 speakers surround sound Bolero music system, 12 way electrically adjustable seat, touchscreen, and much more.

Dimensions of the new Superb are – 4833 mm in length, 1817 mm in width, 1482 mm in height, 2761 mm wheelbase, and ground clearance of 159 mm. It’s kerb weight for petrol variant is at 1586/98 kgs, while that for the diesel is 1644 kgs. Total color options on offer – 8. Magnetic Brown, Brilliant Silver, Rosso Brunello, Metal Grey, Amethyst Royal, Lava Blue, Candy White, and Magic Black. Bookings are open and sales commence from today.
