
Skoda and Volkswagen have both reported strong YoY sales while demand declined on a MoM basis
Skoda and Volkswagen, featuring at Nos. 8 and 11 respectively on the OEM-wise sales charts for Nov 2025, have ended the month on a strong note. The two automakers have reported impressive year-on-year sales with Skoda sales up 90% to 5,491 units. Volkswagen has witnessed a 10% growth with 3,342 unit sales last month.
Skoda Auto India Sales Breakup – Nov 2025
Showing off a strong 90% YoY growth with 5,491 unit sales in Nov 2025, the company has seen a volume increase of 2,605 units over 2,886 units sold in the same month last year. While the best contributor to these sales was the Kylaq, models such as the Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq too added good numbers.

Breaking up sales figures on a model-wise basis, we find that the Kylaq recorded sales of 3,538 units. However it has seen a 30% decline on a MoM basis from 5,078 units sold in Oct 2025. Slavia sales dipped both YoY and MoM to 1,120 units. There had been 1,131 units and 1,648 units sold in Nov 2024 and Oct 2025 respectively.
Skoda Kushaq sales declined to 586 units. This was a 62% YoY decline from 1,542 units of Nov 2024 while MoM sales dipped by 52%. Kodiaq also saw its sales decline by 32% YoY and 50% MoM to 153 units while the relatively new Octavia RS had 94 units sold last month which was a 4600% MoM rise over 2 unit sales of Oct 2025. This limited run sedan, which was restricted at just 100 units for India, saw each of these sold out in about 20 minutes.

Volkswagen Sales Breakup – Nov 2025
It was a 10% YoY growth but a 17% MoM decline in VW sales last month of which Virtus commanded 2,225 units, relating to a 53% YoY growth. There had been 1,457 unit sales in the same month last year. It was a 9% decline on a MoM basis. Taigun sales fell to 1,077 units from 1,497 unit sales of Nov 2024 while there had been 1,560 units sold in Oct 2025. At No.3 was the Taigun with 38 unit sales last month, a 15% MoM improvement from 33 units sold while Golf sales remained flat with 2 units sold in both Nov and Oct 2025.
Skoda and VW have plans to launch facelift of Slavia, Kushaq, Virtus and Taigun. All 4 are currently on test, and have been spotted multiple times. Launch of all 4 is expected through 2026, which will help the company boost sales.
