Minsk Tractor Works (MTW) and Sonalika Group have entered into an agreement wherein the company’s Belarus range of tractors will be on sale in India. Belarus tractors will be produced at the Sonalika plant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
This introduction of Belarus tractors in India will allow optimum farming solutions to farmers while for the companies, the agreement will enable wider product options besides synergies of networks. Once a household name in India, Belarus tractors are still in use in many villages in India.
Established in 1946, Minsk Tractor Works is noted the world over as an established name in agriculture and farming equipment. Products are sturdy and durable in design and adhere to Sonalika Heavy Duty offerings.
Incorporated in 1969, Sonalika Group is among the top three tractor manufacturers in India. Sonalika Group, which is the first tractor company in India to receive ISO 14001 certification, manufactures multi utility vehicles, farm machinery attachments and diesel generators besides auto components. Sonalika products are sold in over 60 countries across the globe.
After launching the range of Belarus tractors in India, Sonalika also plans on exporting it to other countries, which fall under the network of Minsk Tractor Works. Considering the region, Sonalika could first start exports to neighbouring countries of India.
