SRK gifts Mercedes GL Class SUV to Farah Khan

The badshah of Indian film industry, Shah Rukh Khan has gifted his friend, and director of ‘Happy New Year’, Farah Khan, a brand new Mercedes Benz GL Class SUV. Excited Farah, tweeted the image of her new SUV to the world. Later, the two of them even went on a drive in the new Mercedes Benz GL Class.

Actually, whenever Shah Rukh has done a movie with Farah as director, he has gifted her a car. During Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om too, SRK had gifted Farah cars, one was a Hyundai and the other was a Mercedes Benz. In the latest movie which they are doing together, called ‘Happy New Year’, other stars include Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.

Speaking about the Mercedes Benz GL Class, which SRK has now gifted to Farah, it is a three row seven seater, full sized SUV. Launched in India last year, for a starting price of Rs 77.5 lakhs, ex-showroom New Delhi, in presence of Boris Becker. GL Class in India, comes with a 3.0l V6 diesel engine that delivers 260 PS @3600 rpm and 619 Nm of torque at 1600-2400 rpm. Power is delivered to the to the 4MATIC all wheel drive system via 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Mercedes Benz GL Class is amongst the best selling full-sized premium SUV’s in the country today.

Mercedes Benz India will launch the high-performance variant of GL Class SUV in India today. This one is powered by a 5.5l biturbo V8 that delivers 550hp at 5,250-5,750 rpm and and 760Nm torque at 2,000-5,000 rpm.
