Mahindra’s SsangYong celebrates 60th Anniversary with Rexton Special Edition

SsangYong Korando and Rexton Special Edition Anniversary

Mahindra owned SsangYong, the noted 4×4 automaker and Korea’s oldest automaker, well versed with the manufacturing of cars since 1954, celebrates its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this major milestone, the company launched special models of Korando and Rexton exclusively for the UK markets.

SsangYong Korando and Rexton Special Edition AnniversaryThe Korando special edition launched by SsangYong will come in at a base price of £21,245 (INR21,64,712) and will be based on the ELX4 model. This special edition Korando with its Pearl White Lily exterior paint will sport all wheel drive and will include features such as diamond cut wheels, electric sunroof, rear spoiler and will sit on 18” diamond cut wheels.

Rexton W SUV is another special edition model launched by SsangYong to mark its 60th anniversary. This model will be priced at £25,995 (INR 26,42,404) for manual six-speed variant, while the variant with a five-cog autobox sourced from Mercedes, will come in at a higher price of £27,495 (INR 27,94,880). The new Rexton special edition will sport heated front and rear seats, adjustable driver and passenger seats besides digital radio and satellite navigation.

SsangYong Rexton Rear Special Edition AnniversaryBoth engines will share the same engine specifications to include a 2.0 liter EU5 compliant engine offering 155 PS peak power and 360 Nm peak torque.
