SsangYong Tivoli compact crossover Korea launch price Rs. 9.34 lakhs

Tivoli is SsangYong Motor Company’s first all-new product after Mahindra & Mahindra took over four years ago. It is based on XIV Air and XIV Adventure crossover concepts put on show at 2014 Paris Motor Show. The X100 platform that underpins SsangYong Tivoli took an investment of 350 billion Won (Rs. 1,999.2 crores) for development.

SsangYong Tivoli compact crossover is launched in Seoul, South Korea, in the presence of Anand Mahindra, Mahindra Group Chairman, and Yoo-Il Lee, CEO of SsangYong Motor Company.
The compact SUV is powered by newly developed e-XGi 160 – 1.6 litre petrol engine, that dishes out 124 bhp max power and 157 Nm peak torque. The motor is mated to a manual as well as an automatic transmission. The engine being large and pretty powerful, guarantees mileage of just 12.3 kmpl on manual transmission model and 12 kmpl on automatic.

SYMC is hopeful of selling 1 lakh units of the Tivoli compact crossover in the first year. Exports to markets like China, Europe and Latin America will commence soon, while entry into the U.S. market will take some time.
