The new Subaru XV concept is built on the company’s new design philosophy of Dynamic x Solid. Dimensions of the concept stand at 4520 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, and 1570 mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2670 mm, and has a seating capacity of five adults. It gets 19 inch alloys wrapped around 245/50 section rubber.
Subaru XV concept previews the design language of next generation Crosstrek (also known as Impreza in some countries), which is expected to be showcased at the 2016 Tokyo Motor Show later this year. Subaru did not reveal what is powering the XV concept, but it is believed to get a four-cylinder boxer engine.
Displaying a rugged stance, the Subaru XV concept gets LED headlights and fog lights with chrome grille in the front. Lower bumper features silver skid plates, and so does the rear bumper. Lower part of the side gets plastic cladding, enhancing its rugged stance. Alloy wheels get orange paint accent while rear gets C-shaped LED stop lights.
It is difficult to say how much of the design languange will be transferred into the production ready XV. If we consider past experience, Subaru production and concept cars are very apart from each other.
