Suzuki Motorcycle India Records 10 Million Units Over Two Production Phases
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan began ops in India in 2006 at the Gurugram manufacturing plant. Manufacturing in India forms part of Suzuki’s global production network. 20 Years of operations is being celebrated with the 10 million units production milestone.
Production volume includes scooters and motorcycles sold in domestic and export markets. Facility location remains Gurugram, Haryana. Production scale reflects cumulative output since the first vehicle roll-out in 2006.
Suzuki 2W 10 million production Milestone
First 5 million units were completed in 2020. Time required for this phase measured 14 years. Kicking off 2026 with a bang: the second wave of 5 million units has just been announced. Output increase in this second phase of growth stands accelerated.
Suzuki 2W 10 million production – Suzuki Access Ride Connect Edition is the 10 millionth unit produced. Model selection places the milestone within the scooter portfolio. Suzuki Access 125 operates in the 125 cc scooter segment. Segment classification aligns with mass-market scooter demand in India.
Global Markets Contribute to Plant Output
A diverse product portfolio includes motorcycles and electric models. GIXXER SF 250 operates as a motorcycle offering with Flex Fuel compatibility. Fuel compliance aligns with E85 ethanol blend standards. Suzuki e-ACCESS represents the electric scooter model. Electric mobility forms part of future product planning.
Export operations extend to over 60 international markets. Export activity supplements domestic sales volumes. Market reach contributes to sustained production utilisation.
Second Manufacturing Plant
Sales and service operations operate through more than 1,200 customer touchpoints. Network coverage spans nationwide locations.
Manufacturing capacity expansion includes a second plant at Kharkhoda, Haryana. Facility purpose focuses on manufacturing capacity expansion. Additional capacity supports future growth requirements.
Customer programmes mark the 10 million units milestone through limited-period offers. Retail finance offers include zero-processing fee and last EMI waiver.
