Suzuki Access BS6 prices detailed – Cheaper than Honda Activa

2020 Suzuki Access BS6 scooter

The Access 125 scooter is the first BS6 two wheeler from Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. Launched today, this marks the transition from BS4 to BS6, to comply with new emission norms coming into force from April 2020.

Suzuki Access 125 scooter is being offered in 5 colour variants of Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Metallic Matte Platinum Silver, Pearl Mirage White, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey. The scooters are priced between Rs.64,800 to Rs.69,500. All prices are ex-sh, Delhi.

There is also a special edition of the Access 125 with alloy disc brake and alloy drum brake which gets four colour options of Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red, Metallic Dark Greenish Blue, Metallic Matte Black and Pearl Mirage White. Launched well ahead of the 1st April 2020 deadline, the BS6 compliant Suzuki Access 125 gets a digital meter with eco assist illumination, fuel injection technology and external fuel re-filling lid. It also gets a super bright LED headlamp. The Access 125 boasts of more on board comfort with a long seat, enlarged floor board and larger under seat storage capacity. Its extensive use of chrome enhances its appeal to the Indian buyer.

The updated BS6 124 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine offers 8.7 PS power at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm and promises lower fuel consumption. This when compared to the BS4 spec Access 125 sees that power figures have remained the same while torque has gone down by 0.2 Nm. It gets Combined Brake System that permits the rider to operate both brakes only by left lever and a reduced braking distance under certain conditions.

Suzuki Access 125 has been on sale for the past decade and has remained the segments top selling scooter. It has appealed to buyers in India and now in a BS6 format and added features will further enhance the riding experience of customers in the country. It will continue to compete with the Honda Activa BS6, TVS NTorq 125 and Honda Grazia.
