Suzuki Alto Turbo RS concept unveiled at 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon
The Suzuki Alto Turbo RS concept is based on the new eighth generation Alto which went on sale in December 2014, exclusively in Japan. This one is a more refined, sporty looking variant of the same new Alto which is now on sale in Japan.
Suzuki Alto Turbo RS sits on 17” OZ aluminum wheels with 165/45 tyres. It sports a full body kit with side skirts, new bumpers and rear spoiler while front headlights see black cluster with projector beams integrated with LED daytime running lights. The concept is also seen with a three slat radiator grill, fog lamps with glossy black housing and lower intakes with similar finish. Red accents are seen on front lip, mirror caps and on its 17” wheels.
Recaro bucket seats were the only feature noted in the interiors of the Suzuki Alto Turbo RS which will be powered by a turbocharged engine which could be a 0.66 liter unit with no technical details revealed as on date. However, this unit, in its naturally aspirated and VVT format, is capable of fuel efficiency of upto 37 kmpl and also powers the regular variant of the Alto. Weight reduction of 60 kgs is seen on the Turbo RS over its predecessor, and it is this lighter weight that will add to performance.
Besides the Suzuki Alto Turbo Concept, Suzuki also exhibited their WagonR Stingray, Spacia Custom and Solio Bandit at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon.
