The new Baleno premium hatchback will officially debut at Suzuki’s home market, Japan during the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, which opens for public on 29th October.
In Japan, Baleno will be offered in two engine options 1.2-litre DUALJET petrol four cylinder engine generating 90 PS and 120 Nm and 1.0-liter BoosterJet three cylinder petrol engine generating 110 PS. Both these motors are tuned to deliver optimum performance and fuel efficiency on board the new Baleno.
Speaking about their new Baleno, which will be manufactured in India, at Maruti Suzuki’s plant in Manesar, the company says that it is a premium B segment offering for the mass market. It will be mainly sold in Asia and Europe.

In India, it will be known as Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Here, it will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol engine option will be in the form of 1.2 liter four cylinder generating 84 PS power, while the diesel option will be in the form of 1.3l Multijet generating 90 PS power. Transmission options on board the Baleno will be manual (standard) and CVT (only petrol).
Interiors will be seen in sporty black as well as dual tone. Steering wheel gets soft leather cover as well as audio controls. Instrument cluster features MID via LCD display. On the centre dash, is a large touchscreen powered by Suzuki’s SmartPlay infotainment system.
