In Thailand, Suzuki Celerio Milano Edition comes equipped with K10B 1.0L 3-cyl NA Petrol engine with 68 PS peak power and 90 NM peak torque
Maruti Suzuki launched the Celerio in November 2021 for a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh (Ex-sh). This is the new Celerio that went up the ladder of premiumness and replaced the previous gen Celerio. However, in markets like Thailand, Suzuki still offers the old Celerio along with a slightly sportier version of it called Celerio GL UP.
Now, Suzuki Celerio Milano Edition was recently showcased and it debuts quite a bit of accessories and a soothing and interesting dual-tone colourway. The way Celerio Milano Edition has been executed lends a lot of character and personality that is just missing in the stock car. Let’s take a closer look.
Suzuki Celerio Milano Edition
While Maruti Suzuki replaced the old Celerio with New Gen model in November 2021 for Indian market, the old Celerio is still on sale in countries like Thailand. When compared to the new Celerio launched in India, Old Celerio had a retro charm and a timeless appeal, which has worked in its favour.
Now, Suzuki is brining the retro charm further with Milano Edition which gets a custom colourway along with neatly executed accessories like a roof carrier. The base colourway for this Celerio Milano Edition seems to be White, on which Suzuki has played with lovely shades of Teal and Gold.
There’s a prominent pinstripe that runs around Celerio Milano Edition, splitting this vehicle for different colours. This pinstripe starts from headlight’s tip and neatly flow above door handles, meets rear tail lights, flows down and cuts the tailgate below the release handle and the same pattern is executed at the other side.
Everything above this pinstripe is painted White and everything below, gets a Teal shade. There’s a second pinstripe that also runs around Celerio Milano Edition forming an area similar to body claddings we see in an SUV. Everything below this second pinstripe gets a lovely Gold shade.
Retro Charm!
We can also see this Gold shade on both ORVMs, on all five door handles and all logos and brandings seen on this vehicle. Even the stock alloy wheels get a dual-tone treatment, finished in Teal and Gold shades. Roof gets a dual-tone effect too, with White as a base shade and vertical Gold stripes. Roof carrier is finished in White and Gold shades too.
Under the bonnet, Celerio in Thailand comes equipped with a K10B 1.0L naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine capable of generating 68 PS of peak power and 90 Nm of peak torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT unit.
