Suzuki Ertiga GT exterior, interior detailed in new leaked photos ahead of launch

Suzuki will be launching the new Ertiga GT in Indonesia on 23rd March 2019. It is based on the Ertiga Sport Concept which was showcased to the world at Indonesia Motor Show last year. To be offered in two configurations in manual and automatic transmission, prices are set to stand at IDR 187,000,000 (Rs 9.12 lakhs) for the manual variant and IDR 195,000,000 (Rs 9.51 lakhs) for the automatic version.

Leaked information reveals that the Suzuki Ertiga GT will be offered in five exterior color options of Prime Cool Black, Radiant Red, Magma Grey, Pearl Arctic While and Silky Silver. It will be seen with exterior features that enhance its sportier stance. Overall, the car looks a lot sportier than the regular Ertiga.

Some of the exterior highlights on board the new Ertiga GT include include new matte black finished grille with a chrome lip, sportier front bumper with bigger fog lamps encasings which are also given a touch of chrome. Headlight as well as the foglight are projector headlamps. Headlight unit also gets LED DRL. On the side there are side body skirts, new dual tone machine cut alloys, chrome door handles. Design elements to the rear include a tail mounted spoiler, red coloured GT badging and chrome accents. Headlight shape remains same, while bumper gets a sporty touch.

Interiors of the Ertiga GT feature black faux leather seating and several other sportier design elements which are now detailed in the leaked images. Dashboard and door get faux polished wood accents, to give the cabin a premium look. In the center of the dash is a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Steering wheel is same as current Ertiga – flat bottomed with faux wood inserts. Instrument panel is also same.

Engine specifications have also been detailed. New Ertiga GT will be powered by a 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine. This naturally aspirated, 4 cylinder engine will produce 104.7 PS power at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm torque at 4,400 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. This is the same engine which powers the Ertiga petrol in India.

Ertiga GT is expected to be launched in India as a 6 seater MPV with 4 captain seat layout. Maruti Ertiga GT will be retailed via Nexa as a more premium offering. It will be offered in both petrol as well as diesel engine options. Diesel option will be a new 1.5 liter E15A engine that will offer 95 PS power and 225 NM torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. This engine will be BS VI emission compliant and will replace the current Fiat sourced 1.3 liter diesel engine.
