Suzuki Gixxer SF Black colour variant spied inside company plant
A fairing design that instantly brings the Suzuki Hayabusa to mind, Gixxer SF will compete with Yamaha’s new Fazer Version 2.0. Here is the first spy shot of Suzuki Gixxer SF Black colour variant, which was spied inside company plant.
Suzuki Gixxer SF will receive a 155 cc single cylinder, air cooled, petrol engine offering 14 bhp power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed gearbox. This is the same engine which powers the existing Gixxer 155 in the market.
Suzuki Gixxer SF launch is expected to happen in April 2015. Borrowing styling cues from Hayabusa, Gixxer SF will sport shield shaped headlamps and windscreen while it will receive regular handlebars instead of clip ons due to which there will be no changes in riding position. Other features will include a muscular fuel tank, dual exhaust tips and 100/80-R17 tyre at the front and much wider 140/60-R17 tyre at the rear. The bike is suspended by telescopic front upforks and mono shock at the rear with a fully digital instrument console.
Suzuki Gixxer SF with extra fairing weight is expected to return fuel efficiency of around 42-48 kmpl. Having already entered production, Gixxer SF will soon reach showrooms with a price tag of around INR 85,000-90,000. Expected colours on offer are said to include Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black, Candy Red and Metallic Grey.
