Made-in-India Suzuki GSX-S 750 introduced at Auto Expo 2018

The locally assembled Suzuki GSX-S 750 middle weight sportsbike is one of the several new products to be in attendance at the Japanese two wheeler maker’s Auto Expo 2018 stall. The street fighter is the second big Suzuki to be made in India, the first one being the mighty Hayabusa.

The Kawasaki Z900 and Yamaha MT-09 rival marks Suzuki’s entry into the sub-1 litre sportsbike segment in India. With an aggressive styling and a potent powertrain, the new Suzuki is sure to catch the attention of growing number of premium two wheeler audience in the country.

Speaking of the powertrain, the GSX-S 750 houses an in-line 4-cylinder liquid-cooled motor displacing 749 cc. Transmission is a 6-speed unit. Suzuki hasn’t revealed the specifications of the India-made version. Elsewhere in the world, the naked street fighter is capable of dishing out an impressive 114.2 PS and 81 Nm of torque.

The bike is supported by a KYB inverted telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. Braking system comprises of Nissin dual petal discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. Dual channel ABS is a standard fitment. The front and rear wheels have dimensions of 120/70-ZR17 M/C and 180/55-ZR17 M/C respectively.

The Suzuki GSX-S 750 has a fuel tank capacity of 16 litres and has a kerb weight of 213 kg. Considering that it’s imported into India as a CKD kit, expect Suzuki to come up with a competitive pricing somewhere between INR 8-9 lakhs (ex-showroom).
