Limited edition Suzuki Swift Sport Red Devil – 100 units

Suzuki has announced a special edition Suzuki Swift Sport Red Devil for Australia. Finished in Burning Red with carbon black decals seen on bonnet, front bumper and doors, beside front and rear quarter panels. Suzuki Swift Sport Red Devil is available at a price of AUD 29,156 (INR 14,89,463), and is mated to a standard 6 speed manual transmission. With the engine mated to Automatic Transmission, the variant will command a premium of AUD 2,000 (INR 1,02,172), increasing final price to AUD 31,156 (INR 15,91,635).

Suzuki Swift Sport Red Devil gets powered by the same engine seen on the Swift Sport. This 1.4 litre, BoosterJet, turbocharged, 4 cylinder engine offers 140 PS peak power at 5,000 rpm and 230 Nm torque at 2,500-3,000 rpm.

Exclusively built for Australia, which is one of the few right hand drive markets of the world where the 3rd generation Suzuki Swift Sport is on sale, the special edition Suzuki Swift Sport Red Devil is a five seater with five door body style. It is built for everyday driving pleasure with both gearboxes powering front wheels. Stiffer suspension will be offered as standard making handling even easier.

Suzuki Swift Sport Red Devil limited edition does not bring in mechanical changes, only cosmetic.

“A true testament to an incredibly hot hatch, the all-new Swift Sport Turbo has been a great success since its launch in January this year,” said Michael Pachota, managing director for Suzuki Australia.

For the brand, Swift has been a great success story across generations. In India, where Swift is manufactured, 2018 Maruti Swift sales have crossed 1 lakh unit sales in 145 days. That’s a whopping 689 cars sold every day. Earlier in June, as the Maruti Suzuki India announced a manufacturing milestone, the company’s 20 millionth car to roll out was in fact a red Swift.
