Suzuki Vitara SUV unveiled at 2014 Paris Motor Show

Suzuki VitaraNew Suzuki Vitara will be 4175 mm long, 1775 mm wide, and 1610 mm tall. It will have wheelbase of 2500 mm and a ground clearance of 185 mm. To be offered in a choice of one petrol and one diesel engine option, Vitara will compete with the likes of Renault Duster (or Dacia Duster in Europe), Nissan Juke, Renault Captur, Ford EcoSport, yet to be launched Honda HRV, etc.

Petrol engine for the new Suzuki Vitara SUV will be in the form of a 1.6l M16A engine, delivering 88kW/6,000rpm (118 hp) power and 156Nm/4,400rpm torque. Diesel engine is 1.6l D16AA delivering 88kW/3,750rpm (118 hp) power and 320Nm/1,750rpm peak torque. For the petrol variant, you can choose from five speed manual or a six speed auto transmission, diesel variant is only offered with six speed manual.

A 4×4 mode is also on offer with the petrol variant. This Suzuki calls their AllGrip technology. In this driver gets to select drive mode depending on the road condition – Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock. Scan through the release below for more info.
