These two , along with Safari Storme Mountain Rescue Concept, has failed to cause much of stimulation while on display at the Tata stand in Geneva.
Strangely, the Concept S was first shown back in 2010 Delhi Auto Expo. Later, at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, Tata showed us the Indica Vista Concept S2 (the hatch in grey in the image gallery), and now again showing Concept S, makes everything a little confusing.
Talking about the Tata Aria MPV, It has been doing rounds in Indian markets but demand has been lack luster. The vehicle, a 7 seater diesel powered model was expected to capture the markets by storm as it came out at a time when petrol prices were sky rocketing and more demand was in favor of diesel engined models. However this was not the case. Aria is powered by a 2.2 liter diesel engine offering 140 ps power and 320 Nm torque. The European version sports new headlamps and tail lamps with an automatic gearbox.
The third car on display, is Tata Safari Storme Mountain Rescue Concept. It is seen as a heavy duty SUV and a perfect combination of indulgence, style and performance especially in the snowy climes of Europe. Off road tyres with metal chains are expected for this model which is seen with a coat of bright red exterior paint so as to be easily discernible in the snow.
