At the start of calendar year 2025, many OEMs are offering attractive discounts to clear out unsold MY24 stocks. In previous post, we saw Maruti Suzuki Nexa lineup offering up to Rs 2.15 lakh worth of discounts. However, Tata Motors is offering attractive discounts of up to Rs 85,000 on its MY25 ICE portfolio along with MY24 and MY25 versions of its EVs. Let’s take a closer look.
Tata Discounts Jan 2025 – ICE Cars MY25
1. Tiago – Discounts Up To Rs 20K
Starting with Tiago, Tata Motors is offering consumer discounts of Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 worth of Exchange / Scrappage bonus with all variants excluding XE, XM and XT (O) (all fuel). Taking the max total discount to Rs 20,000. Variants like XE, XM and XT (O) (all fuel) get a total of Rs 10,000 off, without any consumer discount.
2. Tigor – Discounts Up To Rs 20K
Just like Tiago, Tigor sedan gets Rs 10,000 worth of consumer discounts and Exchange / Scrappage bonus of Rs 10,000 with a max Rs 20,000 discount on all variants except base XE. Speaking of, base XE only gets Rs 10,000 max discount without any consumer discounts.
3. Altroz – Discounts Up To Rs 25K
Unlike Tiago and Tigor, Tata Motors is not giving any discounts on base Altroz XE. Every other variant across Petrol, Diesel and CNG fuel options gets a uniform Rs 10,000 consumer discount and Rs 15,000 Exchange / Scrappage bonus, taking the maximum possible benefits to Rs 25,000.
4. Punch – Discounts Up To Rs 10K
Except for the base Pure trim and recently launched Camo Edition, all other trims of Tata Punch across both Petrol and CNG engine options get a uniform Rs 10,000 consumer benefits. It is the only one on this list to not get Exchange / Scrappage bonus. Punch has emerged India’s highest-selling car (of any genre) in calendar year 2024, sidelining WagonR, Ertiga, Brezza and Creta.
5. Nexon – Discounts Up To Rs 10K
All variants of Tata Nexon including all trim levels (or Personas) across Petrol and Diesel engine options get a uniform max discount of Rs 10,000. This doesn’t include any consumer discount, but Rs 10,000 Exchange / Scrappage bonus.
6. Harrier & Safari – Up To Rs 25K
Tata’s flagship Harrier and Safari SUVs get a standard max discount of Rs 25,000. Just like Nexon, this maximum benefit is applicable to all powertrain combinations across all trim levels. There’s no consumer discounts, though.
EV Discounts – MY25 & MY24
1. Tiago EV – Discounts Up To Rs 85K
With its EV lineup, Tata Motors is offering a celebratory offer in the form of Green Bonus. Where MY24 Tiago EV MR is concerned, XE and XT variants get up to Rs 50,000 Green Bonus and Rs 20,000 Exchange / Scrappage bonus. With MY24 Tiago EV LR, XT variant gets the highest benefits at Rs 65,000 Green Bonus and Rs 20,000 Exchange / Scrappage Bonus. Variants like XZ+ and XZ+ Tech Lux (with and without 7.2 kW AC FC) get Rs 40,000 Green Bonus and Rs 20,000 Exchange / Scrappage bonus respectively. With MY25, all variant of Tiago EV get the same Rs 20,000 Green Bonus and Rs 20,000 Exchange / Scrappage Bonus.
2. Punch EV – Discounts Up To Rs 70K
With MY24 Punch EV MR, Tata Motors is offering up to Rs 30,000 Green Bonus and Rs 20,000 Exchange / Scrappage. With MY24 Punch EV LR, Green Bonus goes till Rs 50,000, while Rs 20,000 worth Exchange / Scrappage Bonus stays the same. Tata is giving MY25 Punch EV a uniform Rs 20,000 Green Bonus and Rs 20,000 Exchange / Scrappage Bonus (with and without 7.2 kW AC FC).
