The new BS6 Tata Harrier will come with a panoramic sunroof, dual tone red and black paint scheme, 18” alloy wheels and a 6 speed automatic transmission.

Tata Motors is all set to launch the new Harrier BS6 at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo. Harrier BS6 was revealed via a marketing video at launch of new Altroz and Nexon, Tiago and Tigor facelifts, showing off all design updates and new features.

Now, Tata Motors has revealed yet another teaser, this time giving a peek at the gear lever. For the first time, Harrier will be seen with automatic 6 speed gearbox, which has been reportedly been bought from Hyundai. Below is the official teaser video of Harrier BS6.

Powered by a Fiat 2 liter diesel engine, Tata Harrier BS6 will also see increase in power figures. Current Harrier is powered by the same engine borrowed from Jeep Compass, but delivers 140 PS in BS4 guise. In BS6 format, this engine will deliver 170 PS and 350 Nm via 6 speed MT and 6 speed AT from Hyundai.

The top spec XZ+ variant of the Tata Harrier will be seen with a panoramic sunroof as one of its major updates. It will also receive machined 18 inch dual tone alloy wheels. Other features include auto dimming day/night IRVMs, newly designed smaller ORVMs and electrically adjustable driver’s seat. The video also teased a new red colour scheme for the Harrier. The teaser video is titled – Give in to the Red.

The upgraded Tata Harrier BS6 will make its presence felt at the 2020 Auto Expo along with the Gravitas 7 seater SUV and production spec H2X micro SUV. The Tata Harrier BS6 is expected to be launched at Auto Expo while Gravitas is expected to be launched at a later date.

Tata Harrier prices were hiked recently. The pricing has been increased by Rs.34,000-45,000 depending on variants and now range from Rs.13,43,765 for the Harrier XE trim to Rs.17,30,755 for the top of the line variant. Launch of BS6 Harrier with automatic transmission could result in prices getting increased by up to Rs 1.5 lakh.

Earlier this month, Tata Harrier completed 1 year in India, where it achieved 15,000 sales milestone. To commemorate this anniversary, the company announced customer appreciation program with discounts and benefits upto Rs.8,400 on service facility availed over the next 2 years. The company also offered a Rs.5,000 Amazon Gift Voucher as referral bonus for customers referring the Tata Harrier to friends and family. Owners also received personalized badges and a complementary wash and vacuum clean along with a special 40 point check up.
