All we can share is the images from media drive.
Bookings for Tata Harrier are already open for Rs 30,000 and expected price is in the range of Rs 16-21 lakh. If you are planning to buy a car in the Rs 15 lakhs range, here are 5 reasons why you should consider the Harrier SUV as your next car.
IMPACT Design 2.0: Harrier is the first Tata car to utilize the IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy, which involves creation of stylish exteriors and intelligently designed plush interiors. IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy is like infusing life into a vehicle through the use of precise curves, expressive surfaces and attention to detail. Harrier’s bold and muscular exteriors render a dominating stance, which is sure to grab attention on the roads.
Luxurious interiors: In the teaser videos, Tata motors has used terms like lavish, grand, bliss and premium to describe Harrier’s interiors. This clearly indicates that Harrier will have plush interiors, probably better than other SUVs in this segment. Key features include leather upholstery, rear AC vents, large touchscreen infotainment system, advanced JBL sound system, steering mounted controls, engine start/stop button, and electrically adjustable front seats. Based on IMPACT Design 2.0, Harrier’s interiors also score high in terms of practicality, comfort and convenience.
Advanced KRYOTEC engine: Harrier utilizes a powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine that comes with multi drive modes coupled with ESP terrain response modes. It has plenty of power and torque to conquer any terrain. The engine has eVGT (Advanced Electronically Controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger), which improves driving dynamics. Silent and smooth performance and low carbon footprint are enabled by advanced EGR, exhaust after treatment system and light weight and low friction valve train architecture.
Omega Arc platform: Harrier is based on Omega Arc platform, which has been derived from Land Rover’s D8 platform. It has been developed in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover. Land Rover’s D8 platform is currently in use in more than 1 million SUVs across the globe. Omega Arc offers optimized torsional and bending stiffness, which translates into superior driving dynamics on both city roads and off-roading tracks.
Built to last: Tata Harrier has been tested on torturous road conditions for more than 2.2 million kilometres. This makes it quite appropriate and reliable for Indian road conditions and for off-roading needs.
