This is the first time Tata Motors has made dual tone available as part of the car buying package with Harrier. Harrier dual tone is about Rs 20k costlier than monotone XZ option. Previously, dealers have taken it upon themselves to offer dual tone options to wanting customers, for a similar price tag.

Tata Harrier dual tone options are available in two colours – Calisto Copper and Orcus White. The colour range is only on offer for the range topping XZ variant. In time, Tata Harrier with the new BS VI compliant engine will see a boost in power. As on date, the engine offers 138 bhp power and 350 Nm torque which will go up to around 170 bhp power via the 2.0 liter BS VI diesel engine. Tata Harrier will continue with the 6 speed manual gearbox even after the BS VI engine update. However, in terms of an automatic transmission, Harrier will get a 6 speed automatic unit sourced from Hyundai.

Tata Harrier has been the best selling car in the segment since launch. But that could change soon, thanks to the likes of MG Hector and Kia Seltos. The former has launched in India while the latter will be launching on 22nd August 2019. It will be interesting to see how sales of Harrier perform in the coming months.
