Tata Harrier gets the Range Rover Evoque look – Thanks to authorized dealer

First Tata car to utilize the stunning Impact Design 2.0 language, Harrier looks stylish, elegant and comes with a dominating road presence. Key exterior features include dual-function LED DRLs with turn indicators, Xenon HID projector headlamps, outer mirrors with logo projection, 3D LED tail lamps with sporty piano black finisher, shark fin antenna and stylish R17 alloy wheels.

But the lack of multiple exterior colour options has put off some fans and probable buyers. Though Tata Motors officially do not offer any dual tone colour option with Harrier, authorized dealer in Mumbai is offering the same to buyers. Below is one such example.

The white coloured Tata Harrier has been modified with a piano black finished rood and piano black alloys. The result, it now looks a lot like Range Rover Evoque, which is available in a similar colour combination. The said Tata dealer can do this modification for multiple colour options of Harrier. Charges for the same are Rs 40,000, over and above the cost of the SUV.

Apart from the dual tone paint, this mod job does not include any other changes. It comes with the same interiors, which is features premium oak wood finish dashboard, indulgent leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. Harrier measures 4598 x 1894 x 1706 (LxWxH) with 2741 mm wheelbase, which ensures plenty of cabin space. Harrier offers the best in comfort and convenience with its engine start/stop button, adjustable steering wheel, steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable and foldable outer mirrors, rain sensing wipers, front armrest with cooled storage, and intelligently designed utility spaces.

Top-of-the-line safety features include 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), corner stability control, off-road ABS, roll over mitigation, hill hold control, hill descent control, reverser parking camera and front fog lamps with cornering function. Harrier primarily competes with Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, and Jeep Compass.

Tata Motors has launched an online customization platform for the Tata Harrier called as the ‘Imaginator’. This offers a range of accessories that the buyer can get on the 5 seater SUV to customize it according to preference. However, the extent of customization is limited as on date due to the low number of accessories. Tata Harrier is powered by a 2.0 liter Kryotec diesel engine offering 138 bhp power at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
