Tata Harrier R Edition modification price Rs 2 lakhs – First look video

SRT Tata is the authorized dealer of Tata Motors in Coimbatore. The dealer is known for modifying Tata cars. In the past, the dealer was in the news for modifying Nexon in Matte Yellow shade as well as iPhone ping shade. Now, the dealer has modified the latest Tata car, the Harrier.

Harrier is offered in a choice of 5 monotone and 2 dual tone colours. Dual tone options will include Calisto Copper and Orcus White exclusive for the top end XZ variant. But none of them are in Red shade. This was surprising to many, as Red is the colour, which makes the Harrier look the most attractive. SRT Coimbatore has just done that, for a customer of theirs.

Tata Harrier owner in Coimbatore wanted his SUV in glossy Red body and black roof dual tone finish. SRT Tata has managed to do that, for an additional cost of Rs 2 lakhs. Below is a first look video, credit to AutoTrend TV YouTube channel.

The paint finish combination is inspired by Range Rover Evoque. Tata Harrier and Range Rover Evoque are built on the same Land Rover D8 platform. Launched in India earlier this year in Jan 2019, Harrier has become the best selling car in the segment.

Tata Motors has also introduced new upgrades for the Harrier SUV which the company is offering free of cost to customers at the time of scheduled services. These updates include clutch pedal return spring, tailgate switch, clutch compression spring and software updates. The automaker has also modified the steering wheel to enhance feedback and to be more responsive while clutch operation has also been updated along with improved NVH levels due to better insulation.

Speaking about the newly launched dual tone Harrier – other than the new colour options, the Tata Harrier XZ does not get any feature updates or any changes in mechanics. The Harrier gets single tone color options of Orcus White, Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver, Thermisto Gold and Telesto Grey.

This update of a dual tone finish will allow the Tata Harrier to stand ahead of competition as its arch rivals MG Hector and Mahindra XUV500, as they do not get any dual tone colour options. However, the new Kia Seltos will be seen in dual tones as is also seen on the Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass.
