New Tata Harrier XT+ at Rs 17 L is the Most Affordable variant with Sunroof

Price is introductory – Tata Motors will increase the Harrier XT+ prices from 1st Oct, 2020

Tata Motors is paying special attention to customer’s demands for sun-roofs. Earlier this week, the company introduced the Nexon XM(S) trim with an electric sun-roof. The Nexon XM(S) is positioned above the base XE and XM trims and is the most affordable model in its segment with this feature.

Now the company brings in the Harrier XT+ at an introductory price of Rs.16.99 lakhs, ex-sh. This is a new Harrier variant, which was not on offer earlier. It comes with introductory price.

The prices will be increased from 1st October 2020. The introductory offer is in view of the positive response that the Harrier BS6 has received and is valid for all vehicles booked in September 2020 with deliveries by December 31, 2020.

XT+ Features

Tata Harrier XT+ gets a panoramic sun-roof. It will sport some unique features with Global Close – automatic closure of sun-roof after parking for added safety. There is also the Anti Pinch feature for the safety of occupants and Rain Sensing Closure to protect the passengers in the event of sudden showers. Tata Motors has also offered this new panoramic sun-roof with Roll over Screen with Black Coating on Glass to protect the occupants from external glare.

New Harrier XT+ variant gets projector headlamps, auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers, dual function LED DRLs and sits on 17 inch alloys. Its interiors sport a floating island 17” touchscreen infotainment system with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Features also include fully automatic temperature controls, reverse parking camera, push button start and automatic temperature control. Safety is augmented with dual front airbags, advanced ESP with 12 add on functions such as fog lamp and reverse parking camera offered as standard.

The new Harrier XT+ variant gets its power via a Kryotec 2.0 liter diesel engine offering 170 ps power and 350 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. Tata Motors has also offered advanced terrain responses to the Harrier for better driving performance. There is no automatic XT+ variant. Below are ex-sh prices of Harrier variants. It also gets Dual Tone as well as Dark Edition, based on select variants – prices of which are not mentioned below.

Giving it a new premium feature like a panoramic sun-roof will make it even more attractive to buyers in this segment. This update is a part of the company New Forever philosophy to continuously update their range with new products and features.

The introductory pricing offered on the Tata Harrier BS 6 is to celebrate its market response. Since launch in February 2020 the SUV has seen consistent growth month on month. In Aug 2020, Harrier posted sales of 1,694 units – which is its highest monthly sales in 15 months.
