Set for launch, the special edition of the Tata Motors flagship SUV Tata Hexa is christened Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition. Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition package will be on offer on all variants from the base XE to the top end XTA and will come in with 15 new features and a new colour option of Urban Bronze.
Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition can be noted with extensive chrome accents throughout its exterior makeup. Cosmetic updates include a new front grille, distinctive headlamps and chrome edged ORVMs. It also gets side body cladding, a new side step, 16” alloy wheels and setting it apart will be ‘Downtown’ badging.
Interiors of the Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition will be seen with new Tan seat covers and carpets. It also gets infotainment features such as LED Heads-Up Display and two Blaupunkt 10.1″ display for rear passengers. Speed limiter alerts, battery voltage indicators and tyre pressure monitoring system will be among its interior features along with wireless charger and many cubby holes for added storage. Interior upholstery looks plush, and it sure seems Tata has pulled out a few stops here. This one’s kitted for convenince. Go and have some fun.
Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition engine specifications include the same engine as seen on the Tata Hexa. This is a 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder, diesel engine offering 148 bhp and 154 bhp peak power and 320 Nm and 400 Nm peak torque mated to 5 speed manual gearbox in the XE, or 6 speed manual unit or 6 speed automatic depending on higher variants like the XM and XT.
Exact price is not yet revealed as on date, but one can safety expect the Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition to be priced at a premium of INR 20,000-INR 50,000 over the Tata Hexa which starts from INR 11.72 lakhs for the base variant to INR 17.08 lakhs for the top end model.
