Tata Hexa SUV, offered in 6 variants in India – XE, XM, XMA, XT, XTA, and XT 4×4, is being presented in a single variant – XT 4×4 in Nepal. The official launch in the country also included Guenter Butschek, CEO and MD of Tata Motors handing over the keys to the first 11 customers in the country.
Tata Hexa which was earlier showcased at the 2017 NADA Auto Show in Nepal has now been officially launched in the country. Offered in Nepal only in the XT 4×4 trim, the new Tata Hexa is seen loaded with features and will be brought into the country as a CBU from India.
Tata Hexa XT 4×4 SUV sports class leading specs in the form of projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 19” alloy wheels and automatic headlamps. Its interiors, comfortable for upto 6 adults gets traction control system and 10 speaker audio system from JBL, ConnectNext app suite and comfortable seating and quality upholstery also marks its interiors along with ambient lighting.
In terms of safety, the XT 4×4 boasts of hill hold control, hill descent control and a total of 6 airbags. ABS, EBD and ESP are also offered as standard. Price starts from NPR 77.95 lakhs (or Rs 48.76 lakhs)
Tata Hexa SUV is powered by a 2.2 liter VARICOR400 diesel engine offering peak power of 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm torque at 1,700 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. Fitted with Super Drive Mode selector allows the driver to opt for four modes that include Rough Road (4WD), Comfort (2WD), Dynamic (2WD) and Auto (4WD with Torque-on-Demand).
