First showcased in its concept format at 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the new Tata Hexa made its world debut in production format at 2016 Auto Expo. Apart from the production spec Hexa, Tata Motors also displayed a beefed-up variant of Hexa, called Tata Hexa TUFF. This model was created by Tata Personalization Studio.
Designed for adventure and off-roading, the new Tata Hexa TUFF measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase measuring 2,850mm and comes in powered by a 2.2 liter VARICOR 400 engine offering 156 PS power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm torque at 1,700 to 2,700 rpm mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox.
Muscular in design, the Tata Hexa TUFF is a personalized version of the Hexa MPV. It gets a dark theme on the outside as well as inside. Interiors also feature heads-up display, tyre pressure monitoring system and navigation system. Being projected as a vehicle for adventure seekers, the new Hexa TUFF also sports a cycle carrier at the rear designed to carry upto 3 cycles.
Along with Tata Hexa TUFF, Tata Motors also revealed Safari Storme Tuff, Zica Personalized, Bolt Sport, Kite 5 sedan, Zest personalized sedan at the 2016 Auto Expo.
