Set to be unveiled in the first week of December 2015, Kite is the codename of upcoming compact hatchback and sedan from Tata Motors. Of the two, the hatchback version will be launched first, probably in the first week of January 2016.
Promoting the Tata Kite is none other than Tata Motors’ new global brand ambassador Lionel Messi. Tata Motors roped in football great Messi to promote their passenger cars in a deal which is reportedly worth multi million dollars.

Tata Motors has readied the new Kite hatchback to compete with the likes of Maruti Celerio, Maruti WagonR, and Hyundai i10. Designed at Tata Motors design studios in Italy and the UK, Kite is a global car. To be manufactured in India, Tata Kite will also be exported to a large number of markets abroad.
To be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, Tata Kite hatchback will site below the existing Bolt. Petrol engine on board the Tata Kite is expected to be a detuned version of Tata’s new 1.2 liter four cylinder Revotron engine, while the diesel motor is a completely new 1.05 liter three cylinder developed in-house.
Price range of Tata Kite hatchback is expected to start under INR 4 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.
