The other Indian companies in the list include Indian Oil, Reliance Industries at No 114, Bharat Petroleum at No 242, Hindustan Petroleum at No 284, State Bank of India at No 303, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation at 424, Tata Steel, and Tata Motors. Tata Motors is also the only Indian auto manufacturer in the list. This year they have ranked at 287, which is an improvement from last year’s 316.
Though the company has managed to stay in the list, their sales have declined to an all time low. For the month of June 2014, the company reported sales of just 34,743 units, as compared to 48,716 units in the same month last year. But, Tata expects to see a turnaround in fortunes very soon.
The company will launch their compact sedan, Zest in the coming days. This will be followed by a new hatchback, Bolt next month. After which the company will launch new Nano Twist Active. This was confirmed by Tata officials at the media drive of Zest, which is currently taking place in Goa. Tata strongly believes that the launch of these three cars will be a great motivator in their domestic sales.
