Total sales of Tata Motors (passenger cars and commercial vehicles) stood at 43,486 units in October 2015 as against 42,862 units in October 2014. This is an increase of 1%.
During October 2015, domestic sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles stood at 38,917 units, a marginal increase as compared to 38,760 units sold during October 2014.
Speaking about exports, it increased 13% to 4,569 units during the month of October 2015 as against 4,059 units exported in October 2014. Tata Motor passenger vehicle sales in domestic market were up 15% at 11,049 units as against sales of 9,594 units in October 2014. Sales of utility vehicles saw a decline by 9% to 1,749 units in October 2015.
In the commercial vehicle segment, sales of M&HCVs increased by 20% to stand at 12,504 units while Light and Small Commercial Vehicle sales declined by 19% over sales in October 2014 to stand at 13,615 units. Domestic sales in this segment also noted a fall of 4% to 26,119 units in October 2015.

Taking exports of Tata Motors during October 2015 into account, total exports were 4,569 during the month of October 2015, up 13% as against 4,059 units exported in October 2014. Cumulative sales during the fiscal were up 15% at 32,771 units in this fiscal as compared to 28,375 units in the same period in the last year.
