Tata Motors’ Vice Chairman Ravi Kant retires

Non-Executive Vice Chairman Tata Motors, Mr Ravi Kant has retired from the Board of the Company on May 31, 2014. This is as per Tata Motors’ retirement policy at the age of 70.

Ravi Kant Tata MotorsHis tenure at Tata Motors’ has seen him serve in varied capacities including Managing Director for the period July 29 2005 to June 1, 2009, which was followed by his last position at the Indian automakers’ as non-executive Vice Chairman. The Board of Directors placed on record their appreciation of his contribution to the company.

He has also served as chairman of Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company, Hispano Carrocera and Tata Cummins apart from having served on the board of Voltas, TAL Manufacturing Solutions and Tata Motors European Technical Centre.
