Tata Motors sales report September 2014
Tata Motors’ total sales (domestic + exports) of commercial and passenger vehicles in September 2014 stand at 46,118 units, equating to 8% decline compared to 50,387 vehicles sold in September 2013. Domestic Tata commercial and passenger vehicle sales for September 2014 are 40,874 units, equating to 11% decline over 45,958 units sold in Sep 2013. Cumulative sales (including exports) for the fiscal are 236,594 at 22% decline compared to 3,04,742 units for the comparable period in 2013.
Commercial vehicles sold in domestic market in September 2014 are 28,943 units at 13% decline compared to 33,119 vehicles sold in Sept 2013. LCV sales were 18,539 units at 24% decline compared to September l2013. M&HCV sales stood at 10,404 units at 18% growth over Sept 2013.
Cumulative domestic market commercial vehicle sales for the fiscal are 155,625 units, 26% lower than last year. Cumulative LCV sales stand at 99,197 units equating to 35% decline over last year. M&HCV sales stand at 56,428 units, lower by 3% over last year.
Tata passenger vehicle sales for September 2014 were 11,931 units equating to 7% decline compared to 12,839 vehicles sold in September 2013. Tata passenger car sales in September 2014 were 9,766 units to remain flat compared to sales in Sept 2013. Tata Zest compact sedan is the automaker’s latest launch in time for ongoing festivities. Sales of utility vehicles were 2165 units equating to 30% sales decline compared to 3,073 units sold in September 2013.
Cumulative domestic market passenger vehicle sales for the fiscal thus far stand at 56,655 units at l9% decline over last year. Cumulative passenger cars sales this fiscal are 43,216 units, lower by 21% compared to last year. Utility vehicle sales stand at at 13,439 units, reporting 12% decline over 15,189 units sold in the comparable period in 2013.
Tata Motors exports stand at 5,244 units in September 2014 at 18% growth over 4,429 vehicles sold in Sep 2013. Cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal stand at 24,314 units equating to 3% decline compared to 25,035 units sold in 2013.
