Tata Motors Waste Management range showcased at Municipalika 2015

The three new products specialized for waste management at Municipalika 2015 are – Tata Ace Desilting Machine BS IV, Tata Ace Zip_1.25 cum Hopper Tipper BS III and Suction (5KL)-cum-Jetting (4KL) machine on Tata LPT 1613/42 Truck BS III and BS IV. Each of these three vehicles are specially designed to make the job of municipal corporations and other urban local bodies involved in the collection, transportation and disposal of waste matter more efficient.

The three models on display at Municipalica 2015 demonstrate best in class manoeuvrability and are highly fuel efficient making them ideally suited to their purpose. Robust in design and safe in operation, the three models from Tata Motors waste management range display low cost of ownership.

Tata Ace Desilting Machine BS IV is best suited for cleaning of manholes and wetwells. It is BS IV compliant and possesses a hydraulic tiltable hopper of capacity of 0.5 Cu. The engine offers 16 hp power at 3,200 rpm while peak torque stands at 3.8 mkg at 2,000 rpm. The machine has a minimum turning circle diameter of 8.5m while it possesses a 20 liter grab bucket.

Tata Ace Zip_1.25 Cu.M Hopper Tipper BS III is useful for door to door collection of household garbage. It is BS III compliant and is capable of tackling narrow lanes and alleys. Its engine offers 11.3 hp power at 3,000 rpm and 3.16 mkg peak torque at 1,600 to 1,800 rpm. Best in class turning radius at 3.5m, floor thickness of 2 mm, headboard and sides thickness at 1.6mm are its salient features.

Suction (5KL)-cum-Jetting (4KL) machine on Tata LPT 1613/42 Truck BS III and BS IV is suited to removal of obstructions and blockages in sewer lines. A high pressure water jetting system and suction system for removal of slurge from gutters, manholes and septic tanks is possible with this machine. The system works through hydraulic tipping of containers or by blow back facilities while the compressor cum vacuum unit can discharge air at 600 cum/hr and vacuum at 700 mm Hg. The engine is highly powerful offering 136 PS power at 2,400 rpm and 490 Nm torque at 1,400 to 1,800 rpm.
