Tata Zest compact sedan launching in India today will see competition from various quarters which includes the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. With a motive to set the company car business back on track, the new Zest is being offered with an innovative new design with a host of buyer attractions to include increased cabin space, comfortable ride positions and better handling in adverse road conditions. Over 3,00,000 hours of research and testing have resulted in Revotron 1.2T powering new Zest from Tata Motors. More than 6,000 engineers and technicians at 11 centres in 5 countries worked on Zest, which is available in 9 variants, 4 petrol and 5 diesel. Variants available are as follows XE, XM, XMA, XMS and top-end XT.AMT will be offered on the top-spec diesel variant. All Tata Zest variants get 15-inch alloy wheels with a varying wheel-design for petrol and diesel models.
