This holds particularly true for Tata Motors in terms of decreasing sales volume. The Tata Nano hasn’t been quite the volume booster as projected at time of launch. Over the years that dream has become even more fragmented with the little car struggling to even reach the 1000 unit sales mark each month.
However, that doesn’t make Tata nano an unpopular car. With Art-in-Motion associated with Fukrey ( Film release June 14, 2013), the films’ actors announced a contest for those in Delhi, apart from bringing focus on the Fukrey app on Facebook. The Nano Saddi Dilli car depicts the city of Delhi through art painted by The Doodlers trio earlier this year, and was the chosen ride for these actors (Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chaddha, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh) to tour the city.
Those who want to be part of the campaign, need to get on Facebook, and suggest the best place to hang out in Delhi. The contest begins on 27th May until June 8th. The initial pre-launch campaign can certainly give people enough time to work on their suggestion. 10 shortlisted lucky winners will be selected based on maximum votes ( be smart or have many friends online), and will get to travel to their choicest hangout in the Sadi Dilli Nano, apart from winning film tickets, and meeting the film cast.
Alongside, Season 2 of Nano Drive with MTV is back and are being guaranteed pulsating action (Really? We thought pulse was part of another automaker’s tagline). Those who want to be part of the social roadtrip, need to register, and submit a video that highlights your travel spirit. 24 contestants will be short-listed and 12 will embark on a 21 day roadtrip in a Tata Nano. Members of the winning team walk away with a Tata Nano at the end of the show.
